The half-title page bears a historically monumental presentation inscription in green ink from the volume's co-editor, the eminent literary scholar Pavle Ingoroqva, to the martyred Georgian symbolist poet Titsian Tabidze.
Condition: Wrappers show soiling; text block is skewed. The block is firm and the pages are clean (mostly uncut). Physical defects include a partial loss of pages 437-440 and a tear without loss on pp. 441-442.

An artifact of supreme literary and historical significance. This volume of Ilia Chavchavadze's collected works, containing his seminal essays on literature and art, was meticulously edited by Pavle Ingoroqva and Alexander Abasheli in 1927. Its paramount collector's value, however, lies in its breathtaking provenance: it was inscribed and gifted by Ingoroqva directly to Titsian Tabidze (1895–1937), one of the greatest Georgian poets of the twentieth century and a leading figure of the "Blue Horns" avant-garde movement. Following Tabidze's execution during the Great Purge of 1937, his personal library and archives were largely confiscated or destroyed. Consequently, books bearing direct, contemporary dedications to him are exceptionally rare, museum-quality relics. Despite the noted physical flaws (skewed block and partial loss to the rear index pages), the presence of a fraternal inscription linking the father of modern Georgian literary scholarship to the tragically doomed genius of Georgian poetry elevates this volume into a priceless documentary piece of the Soviet Georgian literary renaissance.
