A beautifully crafted collection of Estonian folk songs and lullabies adapted for preschool-aged children. Translated into Russian by notable Soviet poets Alexander Prokofiev and Anatoly Chepurov, the verses capture the gentle, rhythmic nature of Baltic folklore. However, the true centerpiece of this 1969 edition is the magnificent artwork by the prominent Soviet graphic artist Kirill Ovchinnikov. His distinctive, highly decorative style—characterized by intricate ornamental details, stylized forest landscapes, and expressive characters in traditional dress—transforms this staple-bound "thin book" into a striking piece of visual art.
