A rare first Russian edition of the seminal mystical treatise The Adornment of the Spiritual Marriage by the 14th-century Flemish mystic John van Ruysbroeck (1293–1381), known as Doctor Ecstaticus. Published in 1910 by the influential Symbolist publishing house “Musaget,” this edition includes a notable introductory essay by the Belgian Nobel laureate Maurice Maeterlinck and was translated by Mikhail Sizov.
