The preprint is a report on the first experiments at the VEPP-2 positron-electron storage ring at the Institute of Nuclear Physics. The work presents preliminary results of measurements of e⁺e⁻ annihilation processes into charged particles at center-of-mass energies of 1180, 1260, and 1340 MeV (2x590, 2x630, and 2x670 MeV). It describes the experimental setup, detection techniques, and data processing methods. These pioneering studies at the domestic collider laid the foundation for the subsequent research program on electromagnetic interactions of hadrons in Novosibirsk.
