Anatoly Dmitrievich Zheltyakov was a Soviet orientalist historian, specialist in Turkish history and the development of the Turkish press. Author of fundamental works on the history of the Ottoman Empire and the formation of Turkish journalism.
This is a 1972 Soviet academic monograph by Anatoly Zheltyakov examining the role of the press in the socio-political and cultural development of Turkey from 1729 to 1908.
