A delicate and scarce collection of lyric poetry by the Georgian poet and philologist Nomadi Bartaia (born 1946). Published by "Merani" - the publishing house of the Georgian Writers' Union - during the cultural landscape of the 1970s Soviet Georgia, this volume captures the intimate, reflective tone characteristic of the era's regional poetry, which often provided a subtle refuge from rigid ideological mandates. The book features a distinctly 1970s graphic cover design by M. Chanishvili, utilizing bold abstract concentric forms. Printed in a modest run of only 2,000 copies, fragile small-format paperbacks of regional Soviet poetry rarely survive in circulation and are highly uncommon outside specialized institutional collections. This specific copy is elevated by the author's autograph on the portrait page, dated May 1976 - just weeks after the book was approved for printing. Despite the moisture staining present on the rear leaves, the authenticity of the authorial autograph preserves its status as a desirable association copy for collectors of modern Caucasian poetry and late Soviet literary history.
