This is the original 1895 volume 7 (containing Parts 1–3 of the novel “Demons” / “The Possessed”) from one of the finest pre-revolutionary collected editions of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky’s works, published by Adolf Fyodorovich Marx (A.F. Marx) in St. Petersburg — the most popular and widely circulated Dostoevsky set of the late Imperial period. The 12-volume series (1894–1895) was prepared under the supervision of Dostoevsky’s widow Anna Grigorievna and included the complete canon as it stood at the time, with “Demons” (1871–1872) as one of the central novels.
