This is a Soviet-era Russian translation of a classic practical manual by the renowned German physicist Friedrich Wilhelm Georg Kohlrausch (1840–1910), a key figure in experimental physics and electrochemistry famous for establishing "Kohlrausch's Law" on the independent migration of ions. The second edition, revised and updated by E. A. Kirillov and originally edited by N. P. Kasterin, was published in Odessa in 1924 by the "Mathesis" publishing house.
