Mily Vikentyevich Jezersky (1891–1976) stands as a significant figure in Soviet literature, recognized for his contributions as a writer, poet, and historical prose author. This first edition features binding crafted by Alexei Sergeevich Levin (1893–1967), a distinguished artist, graphic designer, and poster creator whose credentials include studies at the Odessa Art School (1909–1914) and the prestigious Higher Art School at the Petrograd Academy of Arts (1915–1919). Levin's artistic prominence was further validated when his design for the Soviet pavilion earned the Grand Prix at the 1937 Paris World Exhibition, establishing him as a master of avant-garde visual culture during this pivotal period in Russian art history.
