The course of archaeological work, the methods and techniques of excavations, the methods of preserving and transporting the diverse contents of the tomb, including the royal mummy, are described. An overview and artistic analysis of the most interesting examples of ancient Egyptian art and craft buried with the pharaoh are given, as well as the results of an anatomical examination of the mummy, which are interesting for an anthropologist and historian.
Howard Carter (1874-1939) was an English archaeologist and Egyptologist who made the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in the Valley of the Kings near Luxor in 1922, which is recognized as one of the decisive and most famous events in Egyptology.
