The lot includes \"Children's Pieces\" (1947), \"Three Pieces for Piano Four Hands\" (1953) featuring folk and collective-farm themes, and \"Sonatina No. 2\" (1955) intended for fourth and fifth-grade piano students. Such fragile, utilitarian paper-bound musical scores from the Stalinist and early Khrushchev eras were subjected to heavy use by students and teachers alike, making surviving copies uncommon. The exceptional significance of this specific set lies in its provenance: each of the three volumes bears a matching, dated presentation inscription signed by the composer on the front cover.
