Ramishvili systematically classifies this corpus by form, material, and iconography, covering depictions of Sasanian nobility, Zoroastrian deities, animal-hero combat scenes, fantastic creatures, and dynastic monograms, and traces the typological evolution from early imports through sixth-seventh century objects produced locally under Sasanian artistic influence. The volume closes with a full descriptive catalog and eight plates of photographic reproductions, accompanied by summaries in Russian and French for international specialists. Nearly half a century after publication, Ramishvili's catalog remains the standard reference cited in current international scholarship on Sasanian-Georgian cultural relations, including recent studies in journals devoted to ancient Iranian art and Caucasian archaeology.
