Composed in 1353 by the poet Khorezmi for the local ruler Muhammad Khwaja Beg, the work consists of love letters written primarily in Chagatai (Old Khorezmian Turkic) with elements of Persian verse. It remains a crucial monument for the study of the literary and linguistic history of Central Asia and the Golden Horde. This 1961 scholarly edition was prepared by the prominent Soviet Turkologist Emir Nadzhip. It includes a comprehensive philological introduction, the transliterated text, a parallel Russian translation, extensive glossaries, and photographic facsimiles of the original manuscript folios. Issued as volume IV in the prestigious \"Monuments of Literature of the Peoples of the East\" series by the Soviet Academy of Sciences, the book had a strictly limited print run of only 1,700 copies. The front endpaper bears a brief 1964 ownership inscription in Georgian script, adding a layer of regional Caucasian provenance. Preserved in excellent internal condition with a solid binding, this volume is highly sought after by institutional libraries, Turkologists, and collectors of rare Orientalist academic editions.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Stanza Rare Books","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":44523742101546,"sku":null,"price":80.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0701\/6359\/5306\/files\/IMG_5564.jpg?v=1782847308","url":"https:\/\/stanzararebooks.com\/products\/khorezmi-muhabbat-name-text-edition-transcription-translation-and-study-by-e-n-nadzhip-series-monuments-of-literature-of-the-peoples-of-the-east-texts-small-series-iv-1961-in-russian-and-chagatai","provider":"Stanza Rare Books","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
