This monograph is the second volume in his series \"At the Origins of Turkish Literature\" (the first volume treats the earlier history of Turkish literary formation; the present volume is devoted entirely to Yunus Emre). The publication is a genuinely multilingual scholarly product: the main text is in Russian, the title page carries parallel entries in Georgian, Turkish (Latin script - \"Türk Edebiyatı Başlangıç Devri\"), and the dust jacket provides full tables of contents in both Turkish (İçindekiler) and English (Contents), confirming the volume was designed for an international Turkological readership. Yunus Emre (c. 1240-1320) is the founding figure of Turkish lyric poetry, the first major poet to write in vernacular Turkish rather than Persian or Arabic, and the source of the entire subsequent ash'iq and dervish literary traditions. Three chapters examine: the epoch and life of Yunus Emre (historiography, historical context, legends, and a biographical reconstruction); the structure of his verse (verse forms, metre and rhythm, euphony and rhyme, and the imagery system); and the semantics of his worldview (dervishism as the foundation of his philosophy, his theology, cosmology, anthropology, ethics, and mystical epistemology - treating love, death, the soul, and the path of moral perfection). The Ottoman prosodic index in both Russian transliteration and Arabic-script notation adds reference value for specialists. Edited by Sergi Semyonovich Jikia, Academician of the Georgian SSR Academy of Sciences and a major Turcologist specializing in Ottoman historical sources on the Caucasus.
